RHEEM HEAT PUMP Mpi 325
The Rheem Heat Pump water heater has been designed for Australian conditions. The system works by removing heat energy from the ambient air and storing in the water tank. Its works like a fridge but in the opposite way. Instead of removing cool air it takes the hot ambient air and transfers the heat into the stored water. In cold conditions the Rheem Heat Pump activates a booster element to ensure plenty of hot water is available. The element is a backup option used when conditions are freezing or there is a high demand on the system.

The Rheem Heat Pump water heater has been designed for Australian conditions. The system works by removing heat energy from
the ambient air and storing in the water tank. Its works like a fridge but in the opposite way. Instead of removing cool air it takes the hot ambient air and transfers the heat into the stored water. In cold conditions the Rheem Heat Pump activates a booster element to ensure plenty of hot water is available. The element is a backup option used when conditions are freezing or there is a high demand on the system. The difference between this system and the above one is that it allows the fan unit to be separated from the unit by up to 4 meters. This is great in situations where you are changing over from an old storage unit under the house or in a side passage. It may mean that the pipework from the old unit doesn’t require as much alteration. See a picture of the split system below.
